I have 2 Tickets for This Saturdays Toronto FC Match Against Real Salt Lake. The match starts at 19:00.
Normally I would attend but my sister is getting married that day and she would be rather furious at me if I didn't go.

The Tickets are in Section 121 Row 12. Awesome view of the field.

They will also get you in to the CNE the day of the match so make it a day out!

Normal price is $66 each But $100 for both. 2 seats closer to centre field would cost you more then that each!

Let me know if you are interested!

Feel Free to pass this on to anyone who you think would be interested.

It sounds like a skit from Monty Python but . . . Well see for yourself!

This is likely The WORST sexual education web site I have seen yet. It is filled with half truths and outright lies.

Then I looked at teh website of the "parent organization" And it all started to make sense. Headlins like "White Guilt Awareness Day" and "Liberals Use the Free Market to Boycott ... the Free Market" and this animated GIF. . .
Pretty much tell the story.

Some poor young people are going believe these lies and be hurt by them.

Grrr. . .

I don't really have a point I'm just annoyed so I though I would share my annoyance.

White painted single sided spindle bed Circa 1870. Hardware for to make rails included. (The originals are Long Gone!) Good for a day bed. (What we used it as.)

So we are de-cluttering our house and garage. As a result of this you now have a chance at some pretty nice stuff.

P8111594 - Version 2

This dry sink was purchased at a church sale in the late 1980s and comes from a Coleman farm on the Waterloo/Oxfard County Line. It is almost all original, though it once had a rusty trough in it that was beyond salvaging and had been painted in bright blue enamel. Under the enamel were the very faded remains of an oxide red paint which was also beyond salvaging, due, I suppose to the long use and expose to dampness. It does give a hint to possible restoration ideas. Some of the original square cut nails had rusted away but were replaced with cut nails from old construction. As well, the hardware was replaced with exact replacements where it was broken. The body of the piece is pine with what appear to be basswood panels in the doors. While here are provisions for two pumps in the piece we have only one pump and that is included if your wish. There is a tiny bit of damage here and there, but then the piece is quite old and a few rabbit chews add character. This is an unusual piece in that is has three doors and while it is large it is not overpowering, A lovely piece for your home where it may find a home under a window, in most any room and even in place of a sofa table. We are asking $1,750.00 for this piece of early Canadiana, well below what would be seem in an antique shop.

P8111599 - Version 2

An interesting old pine Jam Cupboard or base for a flat to the wall cupboard, this was found in an old farm house in Grimsby Ontario in the 1970s, where it had been since at least 1925. It is a very solid cupboard with a shelf inside and two stout paneled doors. When found it had the remnants of white paint on it and there was no hutch to go with it. We used it as a stereo cabinet for many years and the top shelf and back board was made for it mostly with old pine. The feet too are replacements as the old ones had long fallen off. A great way to add some serious storage to any room in the house. Price on this is $750.00

P8111591 - Version 2

An interesting dutch spinning wheel. This is an old piece with built in yarn reel, distaff and bobbin holder. It is intact and it is possible to spin on this piece, but like all old wheels it iss best to limit their use to protect the historic value of the piece. That said there is something very special about using a wheel that is more than 1900 years old. All in all a lovely piece to decorate a corner of a room with memories of early Canada or of dutch Immigration to Canada. $300.00

P8111582 - Version 2

An old Boston style rocking chair, this piece was purchased in Pictou county Nova Scotia in the 1980s, The rockers are not flat-bottom-worn and it provides a very comfortable place to rock a baby or read a book. The paint is not old and the stencil of a pansy could easily be removed (It does frighten little children who think its a lion!) All in a all though, it is a lovely piece with a warm feeling of another age, a good deal at $160.00.

P8111585 - Version 2

A Unusual Spinning wheel from Eastern Europe, possibly Lithuania. It is made in a lightly coloured haardwood and is complete, It is intact and it is possible to spin on this piece, but like all old wheels it is often best to limit their use to protect the historic value of the piece. $250.00

If you have Any questions feel free to comment, email me, or call me. I will do my best to answer them.

Delivery in K/W is included and further afield is usually not an issue but please discuss with me first.

EDIT: There are many more Spinning wheels available. (More then 60) Just let me know what you are looking for.

I have an extra ticket to accompany me on Sat. to the Toronto FC Match.
I'll be in Toronto already so I'm afraid I cannot provide a ride but it is easily reached via the TTC.

Who is game??

The BBC has an interesting article on medieval tournaments and the melees. It also talks about William Marshal often considered to be "the star attraction of the 12th century tournament scene"

Michael Geist is a very interesting columnist and vehement critic of the new proposed Canadian DMCA.

Read what he has to say:

"First, the bill is likely to include provisions (the anti-circumvention provisions) that have been proven to create significant harm to education, privacy protection, security research, free speech, and consumer interests. Indeed, anti-circumvention legislation trumps fair dealing, effectively eliminating crucial user rights in the digital era such as the right to use digital works without permission for research, private study, criticism, or news reporting. The government has emphasized the need to implement the WIPO Internet Treaties, however, those treaties provide far greater flexibility than what is found in the U.S. DMCA. It can meet the WIPO standard and preserve the copyright balance, but it must reject the U.S. path to do so.

Second, I'm troubled by what is not in the bill. If Canada is to amend the copyright law, then surely we ought to address issues that affect individual Canadians such as protecting parody, time shifting, device shifting, and the making of backup copies. We should eliminate crown copyright and restrict statutory damages awards to cases of commercial infringement. Yet none of this will be in the bill.

Third, I'm dismayed at the way this bill was created. The government last consulted Canadians on digital copyright issues in 2001. Technology and the Internet have changed dramatically since then, yet there have been no further consultations. Moreover, there is general recognition that this bill is chiefly the result of intense U.S. lobbying. The Industry Minister has time to meet with the U.S. Ambassador to Canada, time to meet all the major telcos on the spectrum auction issue, yet hasn't made time to meet with user community on copyright.

Those are some of my concerns - what is in the bill, what isn't in the bill, and how the bill came about - but I'm hopeful many Canadians will take the time to learn more and express their own views to their elected representatives."

And take a look at this list of things you can do.

Eucalyptus oil?

Does anyone out there know where I can get it?

Also is it prone to going bad when not sealed or refrigerated?

I'm just curious. What special grooming process do you keep secret?

Coming tomorrow is NakedLight, well the Beta anyway. It is a very cool looking image editor. A rather new way of looking at the process.

From the web site:

"Node-based compositing.
Naked light features nodes—simple building blocks in a composition like a images, filters, and sets of brush strokes. Nodes can be arranged in novel ways that layers cannot. And because they are the blueprints for a composition, nodes are infinitely re-editable.

Infinite resolution.
Layout images and define tools and filters in real-life units like inches, millimeters, and picas. Mix and match images with different resolutions, color spaces, and pixel aspect ratios in the same composition.

Pro tools.
Naked light features precise tools with photographer-friendly units, like stops, and a super-fast Tool and Filter Dock. It also introduces brand new tools like the Noise Brush and Gradient Selections.

Live filters.
Filters can be edited and re-edited, forever. You can work multiple filters together holistically to achieve the perfect effect, rather than one-at-a-time. Naked light lets you quickly edit all filters directly in your canvas and inspector—there's never a need for dialogue boxes.

Non-destructive editing.
In Naked light, it's impossible to ruin an image. All your original images and negatives are stored safely in your Library, so you'll never have to worry about writing over a file or over tweaking a layer."

Anyone out there know about selling a standing old growth tree for harvest?
I think it's a black walnut.

I could use some help this evening is there is anyone who is willing. I need to run lines for the one acts and I'd like some company. I offer a good dinner in return, though likely not the best company.
